Knock-out Win for Lindesay

] AUCKLAND, Last Night. A- prof essional heavyweight .boxing contest between Dennis Lindesay, of Auckland, and George Muir, ;of Southland, ended . in a knock-out win\ for Lindesay in the third round. : The winner had a. decided advantage in weigbt, as he turned the scales at I3st. 91b. in comparison to1Muir,s 12st. 51b. ' It was evident from the start that Lindesay was the hard'er puncher, and in the first round he rocked his 'opponent with a ief-t1 hook followed by a Tight cross. These blows caused Muir to' hold on, and he was again ordered to break aftet taking three hard rips to the ribs. Muir swuag wildly in tho second round, whereas Lindesay measured his punches i much bett'jr. Pollowing a right to the liead, Lindesay sent in a stingiag right to the solar plexus, which sent the Bouthlander down for the count pf seven. Shortly after rising, he was floored again witk a right cross, tho gong saving him from taking the count. Early iu tbe third round Lindesay attacked his opppnent with a succession of lef't and right hooks to the head, and 1h6n finalised matterS with a right cross.
