Austin Objeets to Long Trousers (Received 9, II a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 8. The British tennis player, H: W. Austin, addressing Hull Eotarians, said ixe had received much abuse, chiefly by letter, because he wore shorts. "Long trousers for tennis are foolish," he said. "Tennis to-day is a strenupus game. I see no reason why players should go on the courts as if they were going to a gardeu fete."
