WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr Moulton, secretary of the Carpenters' aad Joiners' Union stated to_ day that there was little unemployment among earpenters. The Government housing scheme was relieving the position, "There still remains the difficulty of a number of married men having to travel to cxcure work, bringxng tho problOm of keeping two homes going. Portion of the answers to 10,000 questionnaires sent ont show that the annual wage for tradesmen was from £152 to £182 and the average rental 30/-, leav ing £2 a week for food and clothing.
