Man Who Made Himself Drunk on Methylated Spirits "This man made himself drunk by drinking methylated lapirit in Maraekakaho road, and then became so uervous of himself that he persuaded some passers-by to go and ring the police to come down and collect him," said Senior-Sergeant G. Sivyer in tho Hastings Police Court this morniug when a statutory first offender appeared : on a charge of drunk enness. "Apparently he has great faith in the i powers of the police in looking after him,'' added Senior-Sergeant Sivyer. The defendant was convicted and di« eharged b'y Mr J. Stickland J.PW
