NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. The Canterbury tourihg Rugby team defeated TaranakLby 16 to niiie. Taranaki played a poor game and were beaten by tfie weakened Canterbury team by four tries (two converted) to one try and two penalty goals. Mortlock was the star of tfio Canterbury side.
