Fewer Ships Lost Figures issued by Lloyd's register of shipping show the number of British ' merchant, ships lost last year to be the smallest since the war, namely 41, with a total tonnage of 41,209. Gyston has designed and nearly . completed the world 's mighties car. It is streamlined and 36 feet long with two 3000 horse-power engines. ' The tyres cost £100 apie'ce. Captain Eyston will be taking the monster to Salt Lake City at the end of the month and hopes to reach the colossal speed of 400 miies an iiour.
