Davolo and Irish Fiddle were well matched over six furlongs which took 1.23 2-5. Catalogue and Old Surrey were on terms at the end of seven furlongs run in 1.36. Palmyra beat Made Money over five furlongs in 1.6 2-5, and Bun Fight was slightly better than Mittie in 1.6 1-5. Fior.d beat Wxne Card over six furlongs in 1.20 2-5 — a useful gallop. Mother-in-Law was well clear of Laggard at the end of seven furlongs ran in 1.40 2-5. Colombo easily beat Huapa over five furlongs in 1.10. octurnus galloped a mile and a-quarter at strong three-quarter pace. The Jumpers, Golden Lap gave a good display over six hurdles. Toreador and Tho Surgeon set out to jump six hurdles. They got into some of the obstacles, and Toreador fell at the fifth. Clarion Call and Jolly Beggar were associated in a smart sehool over six hurdles. The paee was soiid, and both liorses went well, Clarion Call proving himself a partihularly fast jumper. Monastie and Corowa went over five hurdles, going a round safely at a fair pace. Ethiop and John Charles were mates over six hurdles. They travelled at a fast pace, and both jumped well, with Ethiop showing to special advantage at most of the obstacles. Macailfein and Lycidas went once round Over the schooling fences. Lycidate jufiiped well. Macailfein hit the first fence hard and blundered, and

ugara at the sccond of tho double, but go L round safely. The morning 's work was completed with a school over the steeplechasu course by Irish Comet and Brigadore, who went once round, starting with % short s run-in to Cutts 'S fence, - which both jumped very well. BrigadOre seemed to outjump Irish Comet over ono or two of the obstacles, especially Cutts 's the second time, but Irish Comet was very safe.
