DUNEDIN, Last Nighf. To-day, ^ the firm of Ross and Glendining, Limited, which employe more than 2000 persons in branches all ovef New Zealand, celebrated its seventy ilfth anniverBary. To mark the oecasion functions were held in all tho com pany '3 branches and factories. Appreciation was expressed of the cf«.operation the directors and the employers had received from the staff, and a tangible expression of that appreciation was given by the presentation oi a bonus of a week's pay to each worker, It is of interest to note that at the present time the firm employs 2016 persons. Between 1400 and 1500 of these are working in Dunedin, and are puid over £200,000 a year, while for tho wliole of the company 's branches, tho annual wage bill exceeds £300,000.
