The hoggets were generally inf erior to medium quality with only one outstanding pen. The wethers, all carrying good akina, wero not as big as some of the entries at recent saies but were generally even in weights. The offering of ewes ihcluded; a. few low conditioned pens but otherwise the sheep were in good condition but not so keavy. Prices in all threa sections were fully firm with a further sharp appreciation in values for ewe mutton. Taken over all prices for ewes were up quite 2s a head on last week's rates and competitiou was very keen. The small yarding of hoggets was made up of obvious tail-enders with the exception of a eouplo of small pens.
