Jack Oakie, currently featured oh RKO Radio's "The Toast of New York," began his career as a Wall Street clerk and was destined for a financial position in a large brokerage house. He walked out of a fine job to join a musical show. Preston Foster was making a reputation for himself in the business office of a Philadelphiia newspaper when he pulled up stakes and embarked upon an operatic career. Now he is on the top rung of the success ladder of Hollywood. Aun Sothern exehanged a sure success' as a concert pianist to go on the stage and now is one of the most popular screen* players. These are juist a few of the stars ,who took a chance — and found success.
