LONDON, June 30. "We want a way to be found for bringjing to hook the few black sheep in the flock. There is no doubt that in some cases incumbents are negligent, and the clergy as a whole do not want to "be tarred with the same brush." In these words the Bishop of Salisfcujry supported the motion in the Church Assembly, at Wegtminster yesterday, urging final approval for the Incumbents (Sfisbehavipur and Negligence) Meagijre. The Rev, H. G. Crabtree, of' St. AIbaps, Qpposing, said the weakness of the measure was that indecency was not properly defined. Thp measure prpvided thalt the expres8ipn misbehayiour in referencer to an incumbent shall include: — (1) Malice qr batred in act or ward. (2) The use of language in speech or writing which is unseemly for § clerk in holy orders. (3) Bankruptcv in circumstances cansing grave social ecan%tal. The debate was adjourned.
