Sick Maori Child Dies in Mother's Arms

A J'Oung native womau, Mns. Daphne Tuaupiki, conveyed her 14-months-old son on horse-back over a bridlo crack to Te Maiki, en route to Kawhai, to seek medical aid for the child. who had been I ill for two days. The bridle track section of the journey involves slow and rough travel, and near Te Maikii th' child died in his mother's arms. The death was the third tliat has oceurred recently under the some-w-bat similar circumstances that rela hivcfr had been seeking medical aid.
