MANDATE AT FAULT
Palestine Plan and League of Nations (Beceived 6, 11 a.m.) GENEVA, Aug. 5. Assurances that Britain had done her bcst under the Palestine mandate, which proved unworkablc, tvas given by the (Colonial Becretary, Mr. W4 Ormsby-Goro during cross-exainination by the Mandates Cominission to ascertain whether the adiuiulstration or the mandate itself was afc fault. Mr. Ormsby-Gore lale left for London and will not return to Geneva until needed. The Zionist Congress at Zurich decided to discuss the political aspects • of the Palestine proposals in camera.
