Monthly Meeting Held There was a moderate attendanee of the members of the Taradale and District Returned Soldiers' Association present at the monthly meeting, at which the president, Mr. H. Aldertoxi, presided. A vote of condolence with Mr. J. Jane, an esteemed member of the association, in the recent sad loss of his daughter, was passed, all standing in silence. It was agreed to extend the customary assistance to the Taradale Women 's Institute in connection wilh their approaching annual ball. The report conneeted with the association 's recently-held annual ball revealed that the function liad in all respects been a completo success, and a volo of thanks to all hclpers was recorded. It was decided to consLruct a ucw danciug board i'or the uoxt auuual sports gafchering. The questiou of holding a ladies ' night on similar lines to Jasl year's function was discussed, and decision held over till next meeting. One new member was elected.
