N.S.W. PARLIAMENT

SYDNEY, August 4. The State Parliament was opened to-day by Lord Wakehurst. The Governor's speeeh forecast a reduction in the special income tax and wages tax, a long programme of domestic legislation for the improvement ia social conditions, the extension of the moratorium covering house property and mortgages, better control of the Stock Exchange and an active plan for closer settlement.
