World Conference This Month "This month in Ediiiburgli the World Conference ou Failli and Order will rosuine its dcliberations," says the Cliureh News for A-ugust. "New Zealand will liave several representatives, tliose from our own Chureh being tlio Bishop of Christchurch, Archdeacou Jermyn, and Canous James and Haultain. Nelson diocese lias the honour to be represented by two of its clergy, Archdfeacon Jermyn liaving the honour of being specially sent by General Kvnod, the others being already in Englaud on tlieir own concerns. The aim of ihe conference is to explore grounds of common faitli witli a view to clearing discussions towards nnion or rounion of the broken fabric of Christianity. The movement began in Ameriea more than a quarter of a century ago, and several conferences have heen held. The progress is slow, but dehnite advances have been made in better understanding and appreciation of the position of the several communions and the eontributions they have to make to the whole faith. "
