WAIPUKURAU, This Day. The Central Hawke's Bay branch of the Women 's Division of the Farmers' Union, iield their usnal monthly meeting in the social room of the Women 's Best, Waipukurau, Mrs T. Groomo presiding over the following members;— Mesdaines A. Edgar, A. D. Wallaee, J. C. Nicholls, J. A. Grant, H. P. Hole, G._F. Kennedy, Misses Beaehen, Nola Williams, and the secretary, Miss E. Grant, Apologies wero received from Mesdaines G. T. Jamiesou, E. Colo, M., Tausey, T. Geenty, F. Phillipson, F. llewitt, and P. F. Wall. A cordial welcouie was extended to Mesdaines C. J, Williams and V. Stratford, two newly-clected members, Aftor routiue business -had been disposed of, Miss Beaehen, deiegate to the Dominion conference held in Wellington, gave a very full and most interesting report on the conference. The delo'gate mentioned that the senioi- tncmbei-sliip had rcaehpd 19,036, junior menibers 1296, and there were bOO branehes in New Zealand. klrs A. D. Wallaco, who accompanied Miss Beaehen, told liow through the c'ourtesy of the railway oOiciais 300 dciegates were shown over the ucw Wellington railway station, whicli proved uij)st interestuig. 4 At the eonclusion both delcgates were accorded a heartv vote of thanks. A dainty afternoon tea was dispensod by Mesdames Groome and Hole.
