GIFT PARTY

In Honour of Miss Jean Wilson Gifts for the bathroom and washhouse were taken by the gjuests to a very cheery toa arranged by Mrs ltoy Gilbertson and the Misses Botty aiid June Johnson, in honour of Miss Jean Wilson, whose xnarriage to Mr Rcx. Ludbrook takes plac© this mouth. The party Was held at "Poraite," the home of Mrs lt. B. Menzies, and the lovely floWers which were arranged in the drawing-rooln were adxnired by everyone. Large bowls wero filled with beautiful icelaud poppies, while smaller bowls of violets sceuted the whole room. A delicious afternoon tea was enjoyed, and the day being beautifully linc the guests strolled round the pardeu. Later the guest of honour openod her parccls and showed niany useful gifts far which she thanked everyone. She wore a frock of dark navy sil'k pin-spotted with white, having short sleeves and white cameliias ar tho neck. Among those present wero: — Mrs lt. B. Menzies, Mrs Eric Lambe, Mrs Sidney Inglis, Mrs Hubert Browning, Mrs Patullo, Mrs Antony Iteeve, Misses Mary, Dorothy and Diana Wilson, Jean Ilrodie, Alix Roclifort, Nancy and ilary Clark, Marie Davics, Mary Campbell, Jean Hallett, Lyndal and Phyllis Candy, Margaret Maclean, Jean Lyons, Ruth Small and Mary Panfield.
