Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Works Department offices, Napier. , The annual meeting and election of officers for the Hawke's Bay LabOur Day Picnic and Sports Committee will be held next Sunday, August 8, at 3 p.m. in the Labour Party rooms, Rail-' way road, Hastings. A reminder is given of the women 's Gospel meeting to be held in the Nelson Street Hall to-morr-ow afternoon at 2.30. Afternoon tea is provided and all are heartily invited. There is at present on view in Fhillip? ' premiaes, ad jacent to the Cosv Theatre, Hastings, ohe of the rarest and most wonderful collections of antiques1 that has ever yet been exhibited in Hastings, Among the entry are somo very rare pieces of Georgian mahogany, old china, Sheffield platc, water colours and . paintings, and Georgian silver. This fine collection is to go to auction on Friday and Saturday afternoons of this week, when Ilarvey, Fultoir .and Hill will be the auctioneers. Patrons axe particularly requested to n-ote the alteration of the dates. The sale was to have begun on Thursday, but has uqw been postponed till Friday and S^turday.
