Australian Cirl Marries Comedian

AUCKLAND, Last Night. Married against the wishes of her parents on the nigbt before her husband left Sydney for Auckland, Miss Jean McdBvoy decided to follow by a later vessel. She arrived.on the Awatea to-day ahd was met by her husband, Mr. Cbick Arnold, a comedian in the Franb Neil Revue Company, uow piaying at Auckland. "It was a run-away marriage," said Miss McEvoy to an interviewer. She was president of the St. Vinvent's Hospital Ypunger Set Committee and met Mr. Arnold at a social fpuction at whieh he was assisting to raise funds for the hospitai. They qnarrelled but met again a few weeks later and became friendly, Sbp was in Brisbane wbile tbe company was piaying there. "We were out fishing in Brisbane when we decjded to marry,'' said Mr. Arnold. "1 literally caught my bride on a fishing line." Both are enthusiastieally looking furward to the tour of New Zealaud and th.eii' subgequent Rfe tpgetber.
