Brown is seen as a* prof essioiikl soothsayer iil a Midway concession, after a ehort but disastrous career as a part-time prissc fighter has brought kini many black eyes and enough money to pay for a course in astrology. The events of the story seem to beat otit- hds faith in the SUbjeet, and tiiC pleture coiiies to a thrilling close wheii he ventures an amazing propheey — and makea it sticlc! But thiB is not until many laughable situations have kOpt him jumping baek and forth between the frying pan and the flte, with disaster always just around the corner.
