Usual Fortnightly Meeting

WAIPAWA, Last Night. At the fortnightly meeting of th« l.oyal Abbotsford Lodge, Manchester Unity OcLdi'ellows, N.G. Bro. N. MacPhex'sou presid'ed over a fair attendance uf members. One new member Was -nitiated into the lodge, and one candi* date propostyl for membership. The lodge paid a silent tribute of .espect to the niemory of the late Bro. It. Roythofne, who had joined the lodge ln 1898 and was one of the oldesfc members, and a lettef oi sympatky is 1 0 be foi'warded to the relatives. Steps are to be taken to proVide theJuvenile Lodge with a set of regalia. The N.G. reported that Sister B. Weston, who has been ill for some time, and had recently been in hospital, had now returned home. Lt was decided to send a letter Of congratulations to Bro. C. Arrow, who is number four on the list of members, on the oceasion of the diamond jubilee of his wedding. After the business had been disposed of. a soeial hour was held, the timo beiug passed with cards aiid bowls. Representato-ves were present froto the Druids and Foresters ' Lodges, and a hearty welcome was given to them by Bro. MacPherson. Response WaB made by Bro. Murray (Foresters) and Bro. O. Watson (Druids).
