WRESTLING
Two Big Men Those who like fast and gruelling wrestling, with rugged measures liable to be' introduced at any time, will have their- tastes well catered for when "Lofty " Blomfield and Floyd Marshall, the 17-stone Arizonian, meet in the Hastings ring next Friday night. Marahall, who is one of the latest a&ciiitions to the Dominion Wrestling Union 'a forces, is a highly experienccd matman who has been wrestling for. about eight ycafs in the southorn and eastorn regions of the Uuited Stales and also in Canada and South America. He had a world title bout at Memphis with Jim Londos whieh lasted 78 imuutes, and he went 70 minutes with the late Jim Browning in "another championship engagement in New York. Marshall holds a decision over Jim MeMillqji, and has also beaten the four Dusek brothers, known as the "riot squad, " and Ali Baba, the Turk who won the world title from Dick'shikat. He does not mind whether the going is rough or smootli, as he has the knowledge of orthodox attaeking moves and counters necessary to hahdle the best of wrestlers, and the ruggednesa and. willingness to mix it whieh are essential men of the rougher sehool, such as Blomfield. As a further attraetion, Herb Brinson, Hastings, will be pitted against Frank Sykes, New Plymouth, in a six ten-minute round professional bout. The hox plan is filling rauidly and patrons are advised to make their reservationa early.
