Cameron's Victory in Men's Downhill MOUNT RUAPEHU SPORTS

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The annual sports of the Tongariro gki Club are being held at Mount Ruapehu, National Park, in satisfactory weather. Saturday 's race results are as follow: — Men's downhill: D. Cameron (Hawke's Bay) 1, M. Collier (National Park) 2, W. M. Anderson (Auckland) 3. - Men's novice: B. Bowie (Auckland) 1, H. H. Baaley 2, S. A. Wilson 3. Further events will be held on Monday. The first of the series of friendly contests between the visiting American skiers and. the New Zealand team was held on Saturday. Durrance's ski-ing was outstanding. Results: — Durrance (America), first run 48 2-5, secpnd run 40 4-5, total 89 1-5; D. Bradley (America), 55 3-5, 52 4-5, 96 2-5; B. Murphy (New Zealand), 51 4-5, 50 1-5, 102 3-5; B. McMillan (New Zealand), 52 4-5, 53, 106 4-5; S. Bradley, 47 4-5, 61 3-5t 109 3-5; J. Laughiiu, 63 2-5, 58 3-5, 122; P. Schwieters, 59-4-5, 64 *2-5, 124 1-5; C. Ambury, 87 4-5, 61 4-5, 169 3-5. On Sunday the second 6lalome was run. Results: — E. Durrance, first run 42, 2-5, second run 38 4-5, third run 39, total 102 1-5; J, Bradley, 44 4-5, 42 3-5, 44 1-5, 131 3-5; S. Bradley, 47 4-5, 46, 48 3-5, 142 2-5; B. McMillan, 50 1-5, 55, 52 3-5, 157 4-5; J. Loughlin, 54 1-5, 56 3-5, 57, 167 4-5; B. Murphy, 60 4-5, 51 3-5, 57, 169 2-5; P. Sehweiters, 76, 60 2-5, 79 3-5, 216; C. Ambury, 81 2-5, 102 2-5 fell.
