McMenamin) 2 Moaveil, 8.7 (Ashmore) 3 Twelve started. Won by a neck. Time, 1.17. Capaneus was unplaced in the Flying Welter. , MAIDEN PLATE. HIRAI, 7.7 (O'Sullivan) , 1 , St. Constant, 7.10 (Heather) .. . . 2 Rebel Chief, 8.8 (Jones) ...... 3 Eight started. Half a length; ^wo lengths. Time, 1.44. The racing season concluded to-day. J. King headed the list of trainers with thirty-uine winners. J. T. Jamieson (21J) was fourth; G. Price (154) was fourteenth. W. Cook was the ieading joekey' with- 79 wins and 5 dead-heats. McCarten was second with 72 winners and 5 dead-heats. McMenamin was third with 64 winners and 2 dead-heats.
