TUAI FUNCTION

Enjoyable Concert and, Dance Tuia, and the district about Tuai for many miles, provided a very large attendance at a very enjoyable concert and fancy dress paly by the pupils of the Tuai School, and which was afterwards fpllowed by a dance. •The programme was a lengtby one, admirably rendered, and one for which the lady teacher, Miss CampbeU, and the children are to be given very great credit. The dressing and grouping was a specially pleasing featnre of the concerted items. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, as also the dance afterwards. After the concert supper was eerved. In addition to a large attendance of children the following were among the adults present, — Mr and Mrs Breen, Mr and Mrs Nicol, Mr and Mrs Clark, Mr and Mrs Tapper, Mr and Mrs Gillespie, Mr and Mrs Philpott, Mr and Mrs Kilien, Alr and Mrs Mumstead, " Mr and Mrs Mcdymont, Mr and Mrs Yeiven; Mesdames Campbell, Dawson, Chatfield, Burgis, Swainson, Tizzard, Wilkinson, Gaye, Rosenberg, Brian, Alford, Godman, Prior, Griffin, Sinclair and Jones; Misses Baker (2), Kent, Luke and Erazer; MeBsrs Neale, Burgis, Swainson, Roderick, Smith, Thompson, Parkor, Dawson, Majoribanks, Keehan (2), Baker and Nlssen (2). The chairman, in thanbing . the school sta'ff and pnpils and tbe large attendance present, said it was the most successful evening yet held in Tuai, both socially and financially
