Napier Club Games At theVeekly meeting of the Napier Oliess Club there was a very good attendanco of members, The six leading players were engaged in ladder games, the dexender heing suecessful in each . ease. It is expected that in the championship games the following six members will take part, viz., Aislabie, Bartle, Brown, Fraser, Mason and Scott. Unfortunately for the Napier " Club, Mr. H. Fenwick, the present chanipion, anfl will be leaving the distnct shortly. The president, Mr. John Mason, in a brief farewell speech, expressed the regret bi members at losing Mr. Fenwick, hut congratulated him on his promotion, wishing him every success and happiness in his new home. Mr. Fenwick thanked Mr. Mason for his lcind wishes, and stated that he had thoroughly enjoyed his association with the club. Games played were as under: — • Handicap.— Blundell beat Pirani, Blundell heat Husheer, Blundell beat Callaghan, Fraser beat' Ewen, Burt beat "Widerstrom. Bartle beat Fraser. Ladder. — .Fenwick beat Ttrown. rfng 1; Mason beat Scott, ring 3; Aislabie beat Bartle, ring 5.
