The Queeu Mother, Pmcesses, ladies of the Court and others wore small white gauze veils covering ouly the chin. The King took his seat on a throne of gold and green velvet, overhung by a canopy and surmounted by a massive crown. This and the crown outside tho building, held aloft by four eagles 40 feet high, were symbols of the Enu's office. Prominent among the sightseers were shieks and fierce-looking desert tribeamen in flowing robes King .Farouk is the world 's youngest monarch.
