SUPREME COURT

Napier Sessions Begin on Monday The third session for the year of the Supreme Court at Napier begins on Monday with a comparatively small calendar. Sir John Reid will preside, and it is expected that the session will be completed in the week. The hst includes two criminal trials only, one a charge of assault, and one a charge of forgery, and in addition there are two prisoners for sentence. Four civil damages claims and a coun-ter-claim, 10 petitions in divorce, and oue case under the heading of miscellaneous will be heard. Six common juries only, four or twelve and two of lour, will be required for the session. At the conclusion of the sessions the judge will leave for Gisborne to begin the quarterly session of the Supreme Court there on Monday, August 9. .
