Now Nearing Pori PROTRACTED VOYAGE

AUCKLAND, Last Night. At the end of a slow three-week voyage under temporary repairs the American and Australian Line steamer City of Shanghai, which was disabled in mid-Pacific on July 10, advised by wireless that she will arrive from New York on Saturday afternoon. The City of Shanghai, which left New York on June 17, was scheduled ta reach Auckland on July 20, but fractured her intermediate tunnel shaft on the voyage. Her sister ship, City of Glasgow, travelling from Montreal, has been escorting the City of Shanghai over the finat stages of her journey at slow speeff. As the steamers are now within reach of the coast, it is apparent that the City of Glasgow is steaming ahead. She advised of her arrival at 9 o'clock on Saturday morning, Both ships will berth to discharge. It is not yet known what arrangements will be made for docking the disabled City of Shanghai,
