PALMERSTON N., This Day. Thoroughly meriting their victory, Palmerston North High School 's Bugby , first fifteen. defeated Wanganui Tech-' nical College by nine points to three,' at the SHowgrounds yesterday; mftornoon. A strong high'wind sWeeping the ground from the west made accurate handling difficult and in view of the conditions the teams gave a very good display. High School, with the wind behind them, were leading hy six points to three at the interval, and in. the second half they still carried the fight for the first twenty minutes, scojing an additional try. Attack as they might, .Wanganui failed to score again in the closing stages. High School were more alert and nimble in their rearguard attacks, while the forwards played a type of game suited to the oc/asion, giving nothing away in the loose,
