WELLINGTON, Last Night. A meeting of tho Dominion Couneil qf thq Zealand National Party was held in Wellington lo-day. Hon. Adam Hamilton, Leader of the Opposition, was present, and Mr. 0. H. Weston presld^d. ' Reporfg frqm the four divisippg fiisclosed a, great increase in membership since the last quartejly meeting, In the pountry districts larmers are f ecling the heavy increase in costs pf production, while in the cities housqwives, perticularly, are hqeoming apprehensive of further additions to the cost of living, It was reported that the Leader of tfep Opposition and members of Ihe Parliapientary party who had conducted spgaking tours fpund gfpat nervousness in the ranks of the commcrcial community, all business men and especially small shopkeepers being increasingly worried by harassing inspectors and rostrictions. Arraugemonts wprp made for tho forthcoming annual Dominion Conference of the party, which will be held shortly after Parliament meets. The tentative date for the conference is earlv in September. .
