(Eeceived 28, 11,30 a.m.) MADEID, July 27. After a terrific artillery baryagc, General Franco launched his fourth day's onslaught on Government lineS on the Villa Nueva-Brunete i'ront. Government anti-tank batteries eight times repelied his tank attacks. Moorish snt'antry then went over thg top, but were repulsed with 800 dead. A Bilbao message states that a rebel armed eruiser stopped the steamer Mirupanu with a challenging shot and despatched her to Perrol. The Spanish Government claims that the rebel troops' onslaught has already cost 25,000 men and admit that the pressure has obliged the Government forces to withdraw to the woods to the north of Brunete, where they are digging themselves in strongly in fortiiied positions dominating Yilla.Neuva and D'La Oanada. The iosurgents daim to have in» flicted thousands of casualties and destroyed 50 tanks.
