BLENHEIM, This Day. Squadron-Leader N. E. Chandler, piiot-instruetor to the Marlborough Aero Club and the virfual founder of the club, has announced his retiremeht from the position in order to enter private business. Squadron-Leader Chandler, who is one of tlie best-known aviators in New Zealand, served in the ftoyal Flying Corps, during the war and was subsequently an officer in the New Zealand Territorial air force. # Foreseeing the possibilities of the Government's subsidised areo club scheme, Squadron-Leader Chandler in 1928 took the initiative in forming the Marlborough Club and has been pilotinstructor ever since.
