Bomb Explosion at Tientsin TIENTSIN, July 27. After the three lorries of Japanese • were blown up inside the gates sevon ©thers got through and took refuge m & Buddhist teoiple where they were Burrounded by Chinese troops to whoui they surrendefed. A Nauking message states that the Government is reported to have telegraphed to Sung, Qovernor of Hopei, that it rejects General Katsuki 's ultimatum and orders him to prepare to fight as all hopes of peace have vanishod. A message fronj Tientsin says that a atate of einergency has been declared {there following a bomb explosion in the Japanese coneession. A Tokio message states that Mr. Hirota, at an extraordinaTy session of the Diet this morning, declared that Japan 's policy in Eastern Asia was directed towards stopping the Cocnmunist invasion. He stressed Japan 's close xelations with Germany and warned China that nnless she co-operated with Japan there might be an untoward outbreak at any moment. China held the key of settlement in the present incident.
