UNDERGROUND FIGHT
Convicts Attack Guard* - TWELVE DEATHS RESULT (Received 28, 11.30 a.m.) BUCHAEEST, July 27. Protesting against- the food supply at the Targuocha salt mine,. 300 convicts attacked the guards 2800 feet underground with picks and shovels. Twelve conviiets were shot dead, and four guards seriously ihjurtid. . The authorities cut off the water aud light-, and the thirst-maddened convicts commandeered the lifts and came to the surface, where they were taken prisoners.
