Increase in Australian Returns total of £60,175,000 The National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia has compiled its statistics! review of the 1936-37 season, whioh closed on June 30. During the season 2,903,930 bales were received into store, comprising 2,788,508 bales of first hand wools and 115,422 bales of wool for resale. After adding 76,083 bales carried over from 1935-36 season, the quantity available for disposal totalled 2,980,013 bales. Realisations show a substantial improvement on the previous season, reachingj a total of £60,175,497, against £49,100,537 for 1935-36 season. The following table shows the number of bales sold, together with total amount realised (greasy and scoured) during the past five seasons ; —
