Meeting of Committee i From Our Own Correspondent. OTANE, Last Ni^hfc. The monthly meeting of the Otane School Committee wa© held last night. Preseut: Messrs A. E. Black (chairman), Budge, Oram, Page, Voyce and Willianis (secretary), The headma-ster, Mr Trevena, who was also present, reported: ,that tbo average attendance for the past three weeks was 156 and the roll number 1G6. I"rom this Monday the school bus goes right through to Waipawa and this will benefit not only the High School pupils but also the primary pupils as they will get home in the afternoons at least half an hour eailier. Corxespondence was received from the Education Board about the school bus. A letter was received from Mr Taylor, Tamumu, complaining about the late arriyaj. of the school bus at night. The new arrangement now in 1 force will enable the children to reach home much earlier. The secretary was instructed to write thanking the Education Board for its interest and assistance in re-arranging and extending the school bus service. A vote of thanks was passed to the gientlemen who had eo kindly conveycd the school football and basketball teams to Tikokino and Elsthorpe. Several minor repairs and rcplacements were left. to the secretary to attend to. Accounts totalling £6 15/6 were passed for payment.
