HAWKE'S BAY HUNT
One Run of Day Gives Good Outing RIDERS AND MOUNTS Hounts met at Bcattie's corner on Saturday and moved olf to draw Mr Dalby Holden's lucerne paddocks and plantations, a liare was seen and bounds ran fast to the riverbed and work out their line for some time before they recrossed the road and went up through the ploughed gpound and over the first ridge of hills towards Parker's Bush, running in full cry over Mrs Rathbone's country. After a sbort check bounds turned baclc to the young plantations and recrossed the road to the gorse on the river. This hare ran through the gorse, recrossed the road and was finally lost near the pa. This was the only run of the day, and huntingj across the hills and bullock paddock gave some good jumpin^ to followers. The Master again dyew the riverbed but with no result, and then took bounds across the Ongaonga road to Mr Douglas' farm. The wind, however, was too cold to give hounds any chance of scenting so the liunt came in at 3.30. Those present were : — The Master on Bobs, Deputy-Mas-ters T. Butler on Charlie and J.
