ARMY LEAGUE

Organisation on Lines of Navy League STRONG LAND FORCES URGED (Eeeeived 26, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 25. The intention to form an Amiy League on somewhat similar lines to the Navy League was announced in a Teport addressed to the Goverttment Mr L. M. Armery, Lord Lloyd, Lord 1 Milne and others. The League will stress the need for adeQuate land forces, and will assist reeruiting and recommend better pay and eonditions. The . signatories state that a central reserve of man power is required to enable the dispatch of two divisions to reinforce threatened points within the Empire. This would form the neucleus of an expeditionary force in the event of war against a major Power.
