Germany's Iron Industry General Goering has issued a decree for the nationalisation of Germany'a iron and steel industry. Invitation To King The Sydney Sunday Sun reports that the State Government intends to invite the King of the Belgians to the anniversary celebrations in Sydney . next year. The Premier considers there is every chance of King Leopold accepting the invitation. Peruvian Gold The New Yoxk Times* Lima correspondent states that in 1936 the Peruvian gold production was 4740 kilograms valued at 3,334,000 dollars, the highest in the Republican era. Many public bodies are protesting against his Baltimore speech. His managers threatened to hold the meeting in a tent, but fear they will be unable to obtain the ground. Politics and Religion The Yugoslav Premier has announeed that he is presenting a Bill to the Senate in which he would seek an understanding with the Orthodox Church. The deeision may appease the present feeling as it is taken to indicate that the Government desires to avoid a religious struggle, but it is feared the patriarch's death which occurred early on Saturday morning will lead to renewed disorders against which the authorities are taking additional precautions. Sir James Barrie's Will The London Daily Mail understands that Mr William Winter, the British chess ehampion, a nephew of the late v Sir James Barrie, has entered a caveat under Sir James Barrie's will through Canter, Hellyear and Company, solieitors. The will was executed four days before Sir James died and disposes of the estate of £250,000. Winter is among the beneficiaries, while Lady Cynthia Asquith, for some time Sir James's secretarv, was bequeathed £30,000 besides participating in the residue of fhe estate.
