TAKAPAU GOLF
KURU WINS CHAMPIONSHIP W. T. Kuru won the Takapau Golf Club's tournament by beating C. RiddeJl two up on Saturday, the iinal day's play. The Takapau Handicap was won by J. A. Grant, with B? Johansen runner-upl At the conelusion of the day's play the president, Major McDonnell thanked the visitors for their attendance and mentioned the good work done by the club captain, Mr J. P. O'Dowd, the tournament secrelary, Mr CiithDfcrtson, the greon connnittee and the greenkeeper. In particular he thanked the lady club members for looking after the luncheon and afternoon tea booth.
