WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. Arrangements were made for meinbers of Palmerston Toq H td visit Waipukurau On Juty 31 and August 1 at thq fortnightly meeting of the Waipukurau group on Thqrsday evening. Mr. C. 'R. Watson presided in the absence of Mr, Hugh Robinson. No decision was arrived at regarding the subject for the debate, and the ihatter Tvas left to Mr. Watson, who wiil also select the debating team. Mr. T, WilUs was instructed to asccrtuin the numbor of mombers who wiil attend Ihe rally at Palmerston Norfch on September 11 and 12, and to havo tho ligures ready by August 2. It Avas decided to send letters of thanks to Mrs, Hope and Major Sherstou for thoir assistauce in couneetion with the reeent entertaininent, and to convey the good wishes of the group to Mrs. Hope's playera in the fqrthcpming drania f'estival. iit the conclusion of tlie business, members engagecj iu an impromptu debate on the subjeet, "Should Toe H Spongor a Beautifying Society in Waipukurau?" Mr, Watson gave the vorMi4ict to the negative team.
