Deputy Ruler Shows Form at Rosebery JOCKEY COOK INJURED SYDNEY,~July 25. At. tbe Rosebery races Deputy Ruler showed his best form for some time and be comfortably won tbe second division of tbe Welter Handicap from ,The Freak, with Berkeley third. Gay" Blonde, having ber first outing for a long time, finished fourtb in .tbe lirst division of tbe same event, which was won by Trick from Bulldozer. Sir Regent was unplaced in tbe Cape Solander Handicap, wbicb was won in a race xecord time by Tonga. Lenfort ' gained its third successive: win wben it took tbe 14.2 Handicap. Tbe jockey, W. Cook, bad a f'all at tbe Grafton faces on Tbursday and it is feared his spine is injured. He will fco X-rayed to-morrow. Cook is tbe leading'State jockey with 80 wins and five dead-beats for tbe ser.on, his nearest rival being McCarten, wbo is ten bebind.
