The first senior. representative match of the aeason seen in Wairoa was played at the Lambton Sports ground on Saturday afternoon, Wairoa beating a Napier-Hastings side Dy 33 points to 20.' The( weather was good although there was a cold wind. blowing. There was a good - attendance of spectators. In ihe curtain-raiser, the Wairoa junior representative team dcfeated a mixod team, including a number of senior players by 12 points to eight. The referee was Mr. B. Parkinson.
