Mr J. S. S. Medley

Mr. J. S. S. Medley, one of New Plymouth's best-known business men, died ' in the New Plymouth Hospital last nigkt after a short illness, aged 69. He brolte his right thigh last Wednesday as the result of slipping when entering his motor-car. Mr Medley settled in New Plymouth 37 years ago, aud entered business. Some years later be was appointed deputy Official Assignee in Bankruptcy for North Taranaki, and registrar of births, deaths and marriages. He was deputy Assignee until his death, and it is only two years ago that he relinquished the duties of registrar. He is survived by a widow and adult family of three.
