New Service from Otane To Waipawa'
From
WAIPAWA, Tffis- Day. Some'little time ago dissatisfaction was expressed by patents of 'children attendxngthe High School at Waipawa fromi the Te Kura, and ;Otane districts, with the transport ' arrangements, as on eeveral occasions, owing-.to delays in the train service, the pupils had not been able to return home till late in the evening., Upon the . matter being . brought to the notice of the Waipawa School Committee, it was immediately taken up with the board, a suggestion being made that . the present service bringing children' to "the Otane School should be extended to carry the High School pupils on to Waipawa. The committee strongly urged the adop-. tion of such a proposal, wh'ich was lorwarded on to the department with tho recommendation of the board. Advice has now been received. that the approval of the Department has been obtaiued, and arrangements have been made for the new service to commence on Monday hext with the reopening of • the schools. This will enable the pupils to reach the school at least half an hour earlier, and thev will be able to leave for home when the school day is over.
