Federation to Control Uniont In N.Z.

WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington District Council of the Alliance of Labour this week carried a resolution dissolving the council. This action was taken because of the formation of the Federation' of Labour which will take over the duties of the National Council of the Alliance of Labour and the Trades and Labour Council which in turn "will dissolve and hand over to the Federation of Labour. The opinion was expressed that Mr A. W. Croskery, the national secretary, had done much to bring about the understanding arrived at by the AUiance of Labour and tbe Trades Councils when the Federation was formed. A vote of thanks and appreciation to him was earried.
