Mr Semple and Politieal Persecutions ' (Received 22, 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 22. At a civic reception at Lithgow, the Hon. R. Semple said that he was not broken in health but, by all the rules, he should have been dead years ago. He had suffered politieal persecution, having been imprisoned six times, but he had clenched his teeth in the determination that he was not going to surrendel because of his health. If a man was a "quitter" and had a yellow streak in him, the forces ot" eapitalism would diseover it. Labour prineiples should become a religion with men and women who, if they Were to succecd, must sacrifiee everything in the interests of the prineiples they professecl.
