Rumour of German Boat Being Brought Up THE ADMIRALTY EXPLAINS

Rumours at Portland Bill that. during anti--submarine exercises, a depth chaige from the destroyer Wolfhound orought up a German submarine whose commander was interrogated and allowed to proceed elicited an Admiralty exjtlanation that it was a British submarine co-operating in the manoeuvres. The i'act that the German submarine 027 was paasing oast simuitaneously gave rise to the story.
